Frequently asked questions

Do you speak English?

Yes, I speak fluent English. The whole consultation can be carried out in English, from the examination itself to the explanation of the results. The written report is issued in French (as required for your French medical follow-up), but I will go through it with you in English.

How do I book an appointment?

Appointments are booked online via Doctolib. Select the type of scan you need; if you are unsure, choose a standard pregnancy ultrasound and mention your situation in the comments.

Do I need a prescription (ordonnance)?

A prescription from your doctor or midwife is required for most scans in order to be reimbursed by the French health insurance (Sécurité sociale) and your complementary insurance (mutuelle).

Is the scan covered by French health insurance?

Yes. Prescribed pregnancy ultrasounds are covered by the Sécurité sociale, with the remainder usually covered by your mutuelle. If you have private international insurance, a detailed invoice can be provided for reimbursement.
